Storage Devices

Clouds

Cloud storage is a method of using a service such as skydrive and justcloud.com to save work on a server through the use of the internet. This is convenient for people who don’t want to carry about portable hard drives.

Hard Drive

A hard disk drive is a device for storing and retrieving digital information, primarily computer data.

Ram

RAM (random access memory) is the place in a computer where the operating system, application programs, and data in current use are kept so that they can be quickly reached by the computer's processor.

SSD-Flash Drives

A USB flash drive is a data storage device that includes flash memory with an integrated Universal Serial Bus (USB) interface. USB flash drives are typically removable and rewritable, and physically much smaller than a floppy disk.

DVD

A DVD is an optical disc technology with a 4.7 gigabyte storage capacity on a single-sided, one-layered disk, which is enough for a 133-minute movie. DVDs can be single- or double-sided, and can have two layers on each side; a double-sided, two-layered DVD will hold up to 17 gigabytes of video, audio, or other information. This compares to 650 megabytes (.65 gigabyte) of storage for a CD-ROM disk.
