New and emerging technoliges

         Introduction

We are living in a time where every couple of years we have to adjust to newer technologies, no matter our background to keep up with standard and quality. This is mostly important if your career is dependent on using technology for your work as if we fall behind we may lose customers and overall quality compared to competitors in the same field using newer technologies. 
This can be seen in digital graphics greatly as most photographers can ultimately improve on their photographs in terms of quality with the use of such software packages as Adobe Photoshop.

In this post i will give you an insight into what we will need to know about and adjust to in the near future to keep up with quality.

Gigapixel Cameras

Yep that's right; gigapixel cameras.

 The gigapixel camera can take pictures with up to 50,000 mega pixels with the use of 98 synchronizing cameras into this single device . 
Of course the above model will not fit into your pocket any time soon at 2.5 feet square and 20 inches deep but researchers that created this prototype believe that within 5 years the technology in creating the components needed for the device will be sophisticated enough to be sold to the public. For now though militarizes are believed to be trying out the technology.
This of course will lead to never seen before high quality photographs for photographers. This will therefore require huge storage to hold these high end photographs.
Which brings me to my next topic.

Terabytes SD cards

A huge amount of space for such a tiny memory stick.
if you think this will not be out for a long time think again. Panasonic are planing to release their 1 Tb SD card to the public in early 2013. Of course the price will be hefty at the estimated price of £750 but with all technologies the more you wait the cheaper the item will be, with competing companies and future technology advancements to create the cheaper components required.
This will greatly help people in the digital graphics fields allowing photographers taking high end photographs at a high quality graphical formats without a care for storage space as it will take 114,400 photos at 20mp for each photo to take up a terabyte of space.

3D Gaming without the 3d TV



I recently seen, whilst adjusting the settings on my assassins creed 3 game there was an option to turn on Inficolor. I turned it on out of curiosity and seen that the screen has changed its colours to a blurry red and blue. I did a little research on the Internet and seen that Assassins creed 3 was the first game to include inficolor. Inficolor allows you to use your typical 3d glasses you may of bought from your cinema to transform your 2d TV into 3d. It was very impressive. If this technology is used more on other games and TV shows this will allow people who cannot afford 3d TVs to experience the 3d TV experience without spending £100s of more.
